Best Kirkland Hair Products

Kirkland is a brand with a wide variety of products, and they carry some of my favorite items from food and health supplements, down to the beauty section.

If you aren’t aware of this particular brand, Kirkland or Kirkland Signature is under the Costco Wholesale Corporation which operates a multinational chain of warehouse clubs. And while what I’m about to talk about in this article is solely the Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, Kirkland Signature also carries other hair care items ranging from hair treatments to hair supplements.

Yes, there are far too many brands in the market nowadays that carry shampoos and conditioners, but somehow, these two particular ones from Kirkland Signatures have made a name for themselves.

If you’d like to learn more about both products, you can find an in-depth review of each one below. If not, here are some vital information you may want to know if you’re interested in grabbing a bottle or two of shampoo conditioner for yourself.

Kirkland Signature Professional Salon Formula Moisture Shampoo Review

Product Highlights:

The Kirkland Signature Moisture Shampoo contains professional salon formulation to replenish and moisturize all types of hair. It has an ultra-luxurious formula with gentle cleansers to clean hair without stripping it out dry. The Moisture Shampoo also has an exclusive moisture nutrient complex which consists of pure natural extracts to hydrate, nourish, and improve the overall condition of the hair.

What I Like

Unlike most mid to high-end brands, the Kirkland Signature is all about the ingredients rather than the packaging or marketing strategy. The brand lets the product speak for itself. One of the main reasons I went for the Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner is because a lot of people said it was comparable to the Shampoo Pureology which about everyone loves.

There are many great things about the Moisture Shampoo, and one of them is how well-thought the formula was. Unlike most well-known brands in the market, this particular formula is safe for hair with color treatments, and it is a 100% sulfate free shampoo. If you didn’t know, sulfate is a common ingredient for a lot of hair products, and unfortunately, the research said it could potentially cause cancer among other hair damages.

Sulfates in hair products, or any other skin products for that matter, can ultimately lead to hair protein removal, irritation, and itchy skin.

Apart from not having sulfate, the Moisture Shampoo is also paraben free and gluten free. Like sulfate, paraben can damage the hair and the scalp, and in some cases, can cause breast cancer. Gluten is also another known irritant, and many people nowadays are discovering their allergy towards it, making gluten-free products more in demand.

I, for one, am not specifically allergic to gluten, but other shampoos tend to dry my scalp too quickly, which often leads to itching and irritation. Upon trying the Moisture Shampoo from Kirkland, I found that I didn’t find myself scratching my head for the entire day. That was day one of testing out the Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner combo, and I was already getting a great impression.

And before I forget, did I mention that the formula is also 100% vegan? Yes, you read that right. I may not be a full-time vegan, but I have a lot of friends who are, and I try my best to make better choices as much as I can.

So when I found out about the Kirkland shampoo, I knew I was off to a great decision. I also enjoy how large the bottle is and that it comes in a pump. It makes dispensing easier, and for its price point, it will last me for many months.

What I Don’t Like

I have quite fine hair strands, even though it may not look like it. Since the formula is extremely moisturizing, it can sometimes weigh my hair down more than I would like. However, sticking to washing my hair every other day makes that problem a non-issue. After all, experts say that everyday hair cleansing isn’t advisable and will only strip your hair from natural oils even further.

Kirkland Signature Professional Salon Formula Moisture Conditioner Review

Product Highlights

The Kirkland Signature Professional Salon Formula Moisture Conditioner is the after-shampoo combo that is perfect for getting that healthy, soft, and shiny hair. The formula contains the moisture nutrient complex with pure natural extracts to maintain your gorgeous locks without being too harsh.

Similar to the Moisture Shampoo, it contains a lot of plant extracts such as sunflower seed oil, cucumber extract, avocado extract, and aloe to condition and treat hair. It also has an FDA-approved active sunscreen ingredient to protect the hair at all times.

What I Like

What I like most about the conditioner is that it has almost the same formulation as the Moisture Shampoo. And because both products come in huge pump bottles, it makes for a great bulk beauty buy.

Normally, I don’t condition my hair often since my hair is quite fine, but sometimes I like to take a small pump of product and focus it on my roots. On drier days, I tend to treat my hair to a full shampoo and conditioner regimen, but other product combinations often make my hair too oily and dull. After only a week of testing out the Kirkland Signature Shampoo and Conditioner pair, my hair was looking and feeling healthier than with previous, and more expensive, alternatives.

What I Don’t Like

As I said earlier, I don’t use conditioner items very often, especially on my entire head. However, because of the Moisture Conditioner’s formula, I get excited to condition my hair frequently so I can protect it and maintain its healthy state. A quick tip though, this particular conditioner contains glycerine which can irritate your scalp if you don’t rinse it well, so I opt not to leave it on for long like a day and rinse it out.

Pros

Cons

There was a time when I didn’t care much about what I use on my hair to wash it on a daily, but growing older and styling it from time to time, made me realize that I need to take care of what I can now before having to remedy it in the future.

So with that in mind, I began my search for the most effective shampoo and conditioner combination, put it to use, and find out whether or not it can help keep my hair healthy and shiny.

Kirkland Shampoo and Conditioner

Both the shampoo and conditioner moisture variants from Kirkland Signatures are excellent hair products. I’ve been using them non-stop since I got my order in and although there’s not much of a visual difference, I feel that my hair is healthier and in excellent condition. The formulation on both products are excellent, and with the price point, there’s no harm in trying them out for yourself. They should be available for shopping at the Amazon store.

My advice? If you’re not keen on using conditioner or your hair type doesn’t need it much, check out the Moisture Shampoo in the store first. Once you fall in love with its formula, you’ll likely enjoy to add the Moisture Conditioner as well.
