I have always been pretty obsessed with anything beauty, but for some reason, I find it tedious to have to go to the salon for a nail appointment. Occasionally I’d go and schedule myself for some spa day, but I was never the type of girl to have some manicure and pedicure action going on every week.
I mean, for one, the costs can add up pretty quickly, and I end up being too busy to find time to go out for a nail appointment alone. And when I do get them, I end up taking care of them myself until I finally have time to book a schedule with my nail salon.
If you are interested, you’ll be happy to find a comprehensive review of my chosen Impress broadway nails so you can also make an informed decision before purchasing a pack for yourself. However, if you don’t want to dive deep into each review, then here you can check out some important takeaways about the products.
You can also find a handy buyer’s guide within this article to help you decide when looking for press on manicures even outside my list. And if you’re new to the whole press-on manicure craze like I am, there’s also a guide on how to apply them near the end of this article.
Press On Nails Review
Here is where things get a bit more complex, but it pays to know where you are spending your hard-earned money before making a purchase. Below you’ll find individual reviews on Broadway Impress Nails including my thoughts on each one.
Impress Press-On Manicure “Pop Star” Review
When I think about getting my nails done professionally, I always consider something wearable from daytime to nighttime and through whatever occasion. In other words, I always go for something more classic.
After all, nail appointments don’t come cheap. So when I finally came across the Impress Press-On manicure, my immediate instinct was to look for a pack with the classiest style. And what’s classier than the chic French Nail design, right?
Anyway, Impress had many different French tip nail styles, but the Pop Star one caught my eye. Let me break down my thoughts about this particular pack of press-on manicures.
What I Like
First of all, who doesn’t crave a clean French Tip nail design most of the time?
My favorite thing about the Impress Pop Star Manicure pack is its unique take on the classic nail style. You get the ivory white tip with silver glitter detail to outline the tip. Somehow, it adds a modern twist on such a classic style, and it’s one of the main reasons I fell in love with it.
The other thing I appreciate about this particular design was the accent nail. Instead of a full nail accent, the glitter is simply cascading from the tip and fading as it goes into the nail bed. Although I find a full glitter nail alright, others might not agree as it can be too overpowering on the nails. The accent nail design contains a combination of large and fine specks of silver and gray glitter, so it still looks soft and complements the French tip very well.
Also, the glue that comes along with the pack is the brand’s patented Super Hold Adhesive, so with proper application and use, these nails will last you for weeks.
What I Don’t Like
There’s nothing I don’t like about the Impress Pop Star Press-On manicure perhaps except me wanting a shape variety in straight or square. This particular one comes in oval nail shape, and sometimes I like to change up my nail cut. However, it isn’t too much of an issue since you only have to press these on and cover your real nails anyway.
Pros
- Classic style with a twist
- Super hold adhesive
Cons
- None
Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails “One Shine Day” Review
We have a shining, shimmering set of a press-on manicure from Impress in style One Shine Day. I thought the name was fitting to this particular set since all the nails, including the main ones, are all in glitter.
Typically you’ll find the most glittery design on the accent nail, but this pack is all glitter and glimmer. If you prefer everyday glamor or you need something extra for a special occasion, this set will best suit you.
What I Like
I think what sets this specific pack from the rest is that even though the nails all contain glitter, the accent nails can still stand out. The main press-on nails are a white base with cascading silver glitter from the tip and has a gloss finish while the accent ones have a silver glitter base with a few flecks of chunkier grey and silver glitter.
As a whole, the design works well, and one doesn’t outshine the other.
What I Don’t Like
I have nothing against the One Shine Day nail set other than there’s a tiny difference between the marketing images and the real ones in person. In photos, the main nails contain a few holographic and multicolor glitter but somehow it doesn’t show up in person.
Pros
- Super hold adhesive
- Elegant glittery style
Cons
- Not all nail sizes fit regular nails
Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails “Boogie Down” Review
Moving right along to an even bolder style, we have the Impress Press-On Manicure in Boogie Down. This particular manicure pack is not for the faint of heart and is great for those who are a bit more funky, gothic, but still glamorous.
What I Like
I like how the Broadway press on nails in Boogie Down is a combination of a matte and glossy, glittery finish. There’s something about mixing the two finishes in one nail pack that is so satisfying. I also like how even though the main manicure is gothic and dark, it still looks glamorous and works well on a lot of skin tones.
It’s a deep burgundy shade with a purple undertone, and in combination with the glitter accent, the whole thing looks well put together.
The accent nails are a mix of bronze and gold glitter, and it looks cohesive.
What I Don’t Like
Some press-on nails might not fit every nail, so you have to be careful when purchasing them.
And according to my research, the Boogie Down pack, in particular, have smaller nails than other styles. If you have larger nails in general, consider looking for a larger shape or a completely different style.
Pros
- Beautiful shade
- A mixture of matte and glossy finish
Cons
- Best for smaller nails
Impress Press-On Manicure “Lucky” Review
If you’re more of a girly girl or you want a particular style for the coming Springtime, then this next pack of press-on manicure will best suit you. It has a lovely pastel pink shade with fine glitter overspray and floral accent nails. Like the others, it has three sets for both hands with six accent nails.
What I Like
What I like most about the Impress pack in Lucky is how sweet and subtle the design is. The baby pink shade with a few specs of fine silver glitter looks so elegant and wearable even for every day. The floral accent nails are also stunning and look like a work of art indeed.
What I Don’t Like
This particular kit in Lucky, however, doesn’t come with the brand’s patented super hold adhesive and still comes with the regular peel-off backing.
While they stay quite nicely and remove the same as well, it doesn’t seem to hold up strong enough as the other ones that come with the super hold adhesive.
Pros
- Pretty in pink design
- Gorgeous floral accent nail style
Cons
- Regular peel-off adhesive
Impress Press-On Manicure “Tweetheart” Review
Moving on to something a little more bold than usual, we have the Impress Press-On manicure in Tweetheart. If the name doesn’t make you feel all things girly, I don’t know what will. This particular pack comes with a standard 30 press-on nails including six accent designs along with the super hold adhesive.
What I Like
I am quite particular when it comes to using red nail polish since some shades can look tacky on the nails. I like how the red color in the Tweetheart is a classic Ruby red and is extremely flattering to all skin tones. The red nails come in a glossy finish while the glitter accent nail also comes with a gloss overspray.
What I Don’t Like
Upon first looking at the pack, it’s quite difficult to tell whether what glitter the accent nail has. While I had to dig a little deeper to find that out, I notice that it’s a combination of fine gold glitter with larger chunks of silver glitter. I’m not quite a fan of mixing silver and gold with a size difference, so I prefer a better mixture of finer glitter.
Pros
- Super hold adhesive
- Classic red shade
Cons
- Chunky glitter on accent nails
My whole ordeal with getting my nails done was pretty solid until I bumped into an old friend from University and we got to talking over coffee. While at the café, I can’t seem to stop noticing her beautiful nails and how perfect they look. That time I was already getting jealous of her and how she seemed like she had everything together. Until I finally got the courage to ask her about her nails including where she gets them and which particular nail artist was her go-to. To my surprise, she takes out a small carton of press-on nails and tells me that it was her nail secret.
I didn’t want to believe it at first, but with some realization and after all the caffeine, I couldn’t help but get all the information about those press-on nails. It turns out that it’s the easiest and most convenient way to have perfectly done nails at all times. After our talk, I got home to look up the best press-on nails on the market today.
Impress Press On Nails
During my research, a lot of brands were already available, but the Impress ones seem to be topping the search results. I thought why not stick to this particular brand first and see what they have to offer before branching out to the other ones. After all, it will be my first time to try this nail innovation. And with that thought, I also decided to write a review for a handful of these Impress gel manicure press-on. You know me, I like to get down with all the details and of course share them with all of you.
Buyer’s Guide
Press-on manicures have been around for years now and have been saving a lot of glamour girls on the go who need a quick nail fix. Before, the nail shapes can be quite wonky and uneven and won’t lay flat and perfect on the nails. Thankfully today Impress Nails can give solutions to the most common press-on nail problems of the past.
Still, not all press-on manicure are equal, and you need to know what you should get when shelling out your cash for a quick nail fix or a manicure alternative. Below are a few tips and tricks to help you choose the best press-on nail kits that will be worth your money.
How To Choose A Press-On Manicure
Style
Knowing what style you want and if you can be confident enough to wear them is crucial when looking for press-on nails. Although the decision is not as permanent as a usual manicure would offer, you still need to be sure what particular design you are after. For you to make a better decision, it’s important that you know your sense of style so your nails can be a part of it too. On the other hand, you can also opt to go for a more delicate or simple style and color so you can wear them wherever and whenever.
Shape
Choosing the right shape of your press-on nails is important, and you need to be familiar with your nails before you can go ahead and decide which press-on nail shape you want to buy. Generally, you can choose between a square or oval shape. Make sure to match your normal nail shape and length to the press-on manicure to ensure a better application and wear time.
Length
After deciding the shape, you also need to consider the nail length. In general, you can choose between short, medium, and long nail lengths when looking for a press-on manicure set. The length should depend on your real nails, so it fits perfectly.
Adhesive
Finally, look for a press-on nail kit with a good, strong-hold adhesive. If the pack doesn’t come with a peel-off glue or an adhesive, purchase your own from a professional nail salon or cosmetics counter.
How To Apply The Impress Press-On Manicure
For your nails to look beautiful and achieve a professional result, here are the steps to apply your Impress manicure properly.

- Peel off the clear backing and carefully align the tab side with your cuticles.
